Temporary Road Closures Planned for NE Quadrant AC Installations

The BID Operations team is coordinating with contractors on two separate air-conditioning unit installations in the District’s northeast quadrant. Both projects will require temporary road closures to accommodate large cranes operating on narrow streets during regular business hours.

The first installation is scheduled for Saturday, April 11, at 2871 Oak Ave., running from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The second installation will take place at 3339 Virginia St. and is expected to last four to six hours during daylight hours on Tuesday April 14. In an effort to minimize disruption to neighboring businesses, the BID requested this installation be scheduled on a Tuesday — allowing work to proceed without impacting customer traffic at El Bagel, which is closed on Tuesdays.

The BID Operations team continues to work proactively with contractors to balance necessary infrastructure improvements with the needs of local businesses and the community.

Please note that all dates and times are subject to change.
