Board Director and Founding BID Member Monty Trainer recently took to the streets of Coconut Grove for a firsthand look at the progress unfolding along the Central Grove’s busiest thoroughfares. His white-glove review revealed freshly filled potholes, Flexipave in great condition under the trees lining Grand Avenue and Main Highway, and sidewalk pavers in excellent shape—with just one exception: Outside Starbucks, Monty noted a slightly raised section of pavers caused by underlying root growth, which will soon be addressed.
At the end of his walkabout, the GroveFather – as he is also affectionately known – gave the BID Operations team an enthusiastic blessing.
Proactive street and sidewalk repair is essential for reasons of safety, accessibility, and aesthetic appeal. Regular upkeep also encourages economic growth, attracts customers, and helps build a positive community reputation.
