In February 2013, Detlev opened Detlev Salon + Spa in Coconut Grove. It is the only Aveda Lifestyle Salon in the Miami area. The success of the new salon and spa sparked Detlev’s desire to offer the Aveda Lifestyle Salon experience to all of his clients, so in September 2013, Detlev merged the Gables Hair Studio into the Detlev Salon + Spa in Coconut Grove.
Guided by a strong spirit and passion for the hair and beauty industry, Detlev looks forward to further creating customized services with the Aveda brand to deliver a truly unique experience to his clients.Born, raised, and trained in Germany, Detlev has more than thirty years of experience in hair design and color. After years of apprenticeship and certification, he earned both a Master’s Degree and the title of Master Stylist, the highest national credentials a stylist can achieve in Germany.
