In honor of the women who pioneered the areas known today as Miami and Coconut Grove — Julia Tuttle, Mary Brickell, Isabella Peacock, Flora MacFarlane, Mariah Brown and many more — we’re kicking off Grove Heritage Month with our Heart of the Grove series. Read about six extraordinary, diverse women who continue the legacy of nurturing community in their own unique ways.
Join us to celebrate Coconut Grove’s history and Miami’s 125th anniversary on Grove Heritage Day.
