BID: What inspired the inception of Celestial Treasures and its journey to becoming the quintessential holistic haven and “divine source” in Coconut Grove?

CINDY: I was attending a class while traveling and the teacher alluded to a spiritual store being up for sale in Coconut Grove. I couldn’t shake the thought of it. As I settled down on my next flight (to a seminar in Reno) I found myself sitting next to a spa owner who spoke of his desire to create a spiritual haven.

This momentum grew and while in Reno I happened to meet a masseuse who had also once worked at a spiritual store. Was this a coincidence? I think not! When I returned to Miami, I reached out to the store owner, arranged to meet her later that day, and decided to purchase the store on the spot!

BID: How did your personal interest in the metaphysical and spiritual develop, leading to the establishment of Celestial Treasures?

From a young age, I have always been captivated by the more enigmatic aspects of life, the unknown, and the inner workings of the human mind. My journey has been one of self-discovery, contemplation, and personal growth. Celestial Treasures is a reflection of these experiences and principles.

BID: Could you share a brief overview of Celestial Treasures’ history and its mission within the Coconut Grove community?

For nearly two decades, Celestial Treasures has taken us on a wild cosmic rollercoaster ride, complete with thrilling highs and dizzying lows, a few plot twists, and more trial and error than you can shake a magic wand at.

The universe has a funny way of reminding us that even the most enchanted of dreams require a practical touch. I knew that success isn’t just a celestial alignment of stars; it’s about having the right team, each member with a unique talent, working together toward a shared goal.

Over the years, we have been fortunate to have many team members, each bringing their unique experiences and lessons as they came and went. It is through this journey of growth and transformation that Celestial Treasures has emerged stronger and more resilient than ever.

We strive to be a source of hope and guidance in our community. We offer assistance to those who are facing life’s challenges and strive to provide a welcoming environment where people from all backgrounds can feel comfortable and free from judgment. BID: Aside from the physical items in your realm, what mind-expanding and soul-enriching spiritual services does Celestial Treasures provide?

Some of our soul-enriching spiritual services include guided meditations, sound healing, Pranic energy healing, divination card readings, spiritual workshops, Reiki, and intuitive coaching. We also take part in sacred ceremonies. Anything from full moon gatherings to solstice celebrations. These events are like cosmic parties for your spirit where you can honour the cycles of the universe and connect with kindred souls.

BID: Illuminate our minds: Could you unveil a few hidden gems – your store’s most sought-after holistic treasures?

As the owner of our store, I want to assure you that we have an amazing collection of sparkling gems that are highly sought-after by our customers. I personally hand-select the majority of these treasures from different parts of the world. You can rest assured that any crystal you choose has already been destined to be yours.

BID: For starry-eyed newcomers, what cosmic counsel would you offer in navigating their first step into the enchanting world of holistic delights?

I know that embarking into the world of holistic delights can be intimidating for first-time newcomers. However, the most enchanting world lies within you. Start by embracing the  Universe Within, connect with your inner self, explore your passions, and let curiosity be your North Star. Your inner universe is the ultimate source of holistic delight.

It’s important to take care of your physical health and feed your intellect with knowledge, and your soul with love and positivity. Embrace the unknown with open arms and an adventurous spirit. It’s in the unknown where true magic lies. Furthermore, seek out like-minded souls who share your passions. Embark on this spiritual journey together and explore new realms of enlightenment and inspiration.

BID: How does Celestial Treasures actively engage with the Coconut Grove community and contribute to its well-being?

Celestial Treasures actively engages with the Coconut Grove community through various initiatives such as educational events, support for local artisans, charity efforts, holistic counseling, and a welcoming atmosphere. One of our most beloved events is the Pay It Forward Event. During this event, we dedicate a weekend to providing a free mini-service such as reading, aura cleansing, or reiki healing to the community. In return, we ask that you pay it forward by doing something kind and generous for someone else within the week!

BID: Please share some examples of partnerships or collaborations between Celestial  Treasures and other businesses in Coconut Grove particularly those in the Coconut  Grove BID that enhance the local experience.

For the past decades, we have been a regular participant in the Mad Hatters event.  Additionally, we actively take part in the art festival whenever it comes around. We also enthusiastically participate in various special events such as Mother’s Day, Cinco de  Mayo, Bed Race, and many more. Our involvement with the Grove BID is always wholehearted and in any way we can contribute. We have participated and sponsored in many other social events with giveaway packages and gifts.

BID: In what ways does Celestial Treasures contribute to the unique character and historically  “far out” spirit of Coconut Grove’s business community?

For several decades, our store has been an integral part of the Grove community,  witnessing the ebb and flow of businesses over the years. When you step inside, our little store serves as a portal that takes you to another dimension. Visitors have often remarked on how cozy and welcoming it feels.

Throughout the years, we have successfully maintained the old hippie vibe of Coconut Grove while still catering to both the local residents and tourists. Our cute saying, “When it’s time for you to step into our store, you’ll find us!” holds true to this day. We are truly grateful for the support of our beautiful neighborhood.

BID: As you look ahead, what future plans or aspirations does Celestial Treasures have for expanding its offerings or deepening its involvement in the community?

As we look into the cosmic horizon, Celestial Treasures is overflowing with plans and aspirations to further enrich your journey and deepen our connection with the community.  We are excited about expanded workshops and events and bringing in speakers to cover an even wider range of topics, making holistic wisdom accessible to all.

Our team is working on expanding and improving our online platform to include wholesale opportunities, informative articles, classes, and videos that will help promote your well-being and spiritual growth, regardless of your location. Our goal is to make our valuable resources accessible to everyone so that you can experience the benefits of our treasure from the comfort of your own home.
