Grove community, and beyond, enjoy the glamour and sophistication of this bellwether of future growth

The Mayfair is back. After a long renovation and rebrand, the iconic Mayfair Hotel has reopened as the Mayfair House Hotel & Garden. Refurbished to preserve its original charm and style, the property has undergone a grand up-level that captures its former glory while setting a new aesthetic and guest-experience standard in its more than 30-year legacy.

“It’s an inspiring moment,” said Sinan Bozkurt Director of Sales & Marketing, Mayfair House Hotel and Garden since Jan 2022. “Because of its history, architecture, and location, the reopening of the Mayfair and its success is really the success of the entire Coconut Grove business community.”

The Mayfair Hotel & Spa first opened in 1985, designed by Miami architect Kenneth Treister. Its distinct style was a contrast to much of the buildings going up in Miami at the time. It immediately became a local artistic attraction for its hand-carved architectural details and colorful expression that genuinely matched the culture and essence of the Grove.

“Improvements to the hotel are sure to draw local and international crowds who can appreciate a one-of-a-kind luxury experience.”

While keeping the same spirit that Treister imbued into his signature work, many new improvements to the hotel are sure to draw local and international crowds who can appreciate a one-of-a-kind luxury experience. Among these improvements are the sleeping rooms. Guests can choose from eight types: Studio King, Deluxe Eden Studio, Deluxe Double King, Premium Suite, Studio Garden King, Grand Luxe Corner Suite, Grand Luxe Two Bedroom Suite, and Mayfair Penthouse. The rooms range from 500 to 1,124 square feet and include a terrace and living, dining, and sleeping areas that are accessible from Mayfair’s main courtyard.

Some of the most attractive and exciting additions are in the food and beverage realm. Lost Boy & Co unveiled two new restaurant concepts: Mayfair Grill and Sip Sip. The first is a garden cafe located in the atrium featuring southwest-inspired dishes and drinks from New Mexico, Arizona, and the Southern California region. Sip Sip is a rooftop restaurant and lounge named after the Bahamian phrase that means, “sharing news”. Day guests can enjoy the restaurant as walk-ins or make reservations through the hotel’s website.

“After two years of hard work, we hope the residents and business owners in the area will share in our excitement.”

“We’re so proud to have our doors open after two years of hard work,” continue Bozkurt. “We hope the residents and business owners in the area will share in our excitement and share in the unique energy of the old and the new in this extraordinary place.”

Mayfair House Hotel & Garden has 8,500 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor event space, in addition to a 1,060 square foot gym complete with a full suite of state-of-the-art exercise equipment.
