GET THE FULL STORY:

Getting around the Grove just became easier, faster, and more sustainable

The Coconut Grove Business Improvement District (BID) is partnering with Circuit to introduce an all-electric, on-demand neighborhood shuttle service, expanding transportation options for residents and visitors while supporting the Grove’s continued evolution as both an ideal destination to visit, play and work, and a great place to live.

The service allows riders to request shared electric shuttle trips through the Ride Circuit mobile app or by hailing vehicles within the service area, when available, helping connect people to restaurants, parks, offices, healthcare providers, shops, waterfront destinations, and transit links throughout Coconut Grove, without relying on short car trips.

Circuit’s fully electric vehicles provide flexible, address-to-address rides within its service area, making it easier for residents and visitors to move throughout Coconut Grove and improving access to village destinations like Peacock Park, CocoWalk, Regatta Harbour, and the Grove Metrorail Station. Vehicles accommodate small groups traveling together, making the service a convenient option for shared neighborhood trips. The service operates using a mix of compact GEM neighborhood electric vehicles within the BID core and larger all-electric shuttles serving the broader Grove area.

“Improving neighborhood mobility helps strengthen local businesses, reduce congestion, and makes it easier for residents and visitors alike to enjoy everything Coconut Grove has to offer,” said Mark Burns, executive director of the BID.

Since launching in Miami in 2011, Circuit has expanded access to convenient neighborhood transportation while helping to reduce emissions and strengthen connections between residents and local destinations.

The Coconut Grove rollout is part of the BID’s ongoing efforts to enhance accessibility, support local commerce, and make it easier to move throughout the neighborhood.

The service will be free for the first three months, after which rides are expected to cost $2 per rider, with complimentary trips for seniors and connections to the Grove Metrorail Station and Miami Parking Authority lots.

Residents and visitors can download the Ride Circuit app to begin using the service. For more information, visit the Ride Circuit website.
