Readying Our Streets for the Seasonal Boost in Foot Traffic

NOVEMBER 12, 2024 REPORT

With the start of the fall comes a drop in temperatures – and an increase in foot traffic into our area. Now is our chance to really make the Central Grove shine. And to ensure that our streets remain clean, attractive, and safe throughout the season, the BID’s Block-by-Block Team is on task.

Rising to the Occasion

On the issue of uneven sidewalk and planter pavers, our Ambassadors continually troubleshoot throughout District, in areas pavers that have recently been disrupted by contractors and utility workers.

Root of the Problem

As underlying tree roots continue to grow, we must quickly identify and repair those bumpy spots along our sidewalks to ensure visitors may pass safely. Please reach out if you notice a problem area near your business (see contact info below).

Pesky Pothole Repair

It is a constant battle keeping up with potholes, large and small, that emerge during the rainy season. But fear not, as our Block-By-Block Ambassadors diligently monitor for problem spots and then work with the City of Miami to swiftly fill in these potholes. It’s a winning team

To report issues, please contact Sully Silva, the BID’s Block-by-Block Operations Manager, at 305-360-6870 or via email at ssilva@blockbyblock.com. Also, learn more about our Block-By-Block program.
