The Coconut Grove BID is leading the charge for this year’s Shop Small Saturday on Nov. 30. By inviting residents and visitors to jump start their season of merriment with discounts on shopping and dining, this special day promises to be packed with exclusive deals, live entertainment, and festive surprises. The annual event is part of the national Shop Small movement, which aims to spotlight and support local businesses, helping the Coconut Grove business community thrive.
Highlights include an all-day Sidewalk Sale offering incredible discounts at various shops, boutiques, and wellness centers, along with live music performances across multiple locations from noon to 11 p.m. Here’s how businesses can join:
- Retailers are invited to set up outdoor racks and decorate your windows.
- Restaurants may create a bar or display with cocktails, coffee, or small bites.
To be included in the Shop Small Saturday map, contact Marketing Director Kristell Hurtado by Nov. 14 via email at kristell@grovebid.com.
Shop Small Saturday, founded by American Express in 2010, is celebrated annually on the Saturday following Thanksgiving to encourage consumers to support small businesses and keep communities vibrant. Since its inception, the movement has made a significant impact, with consumers spending an estimated $200 billion across all Small Business Saturdays combined.
“By shopping at small businesses in Coconut Grove, consumers play a vital role in helping local establishments flourish,” says Hurtado. She encourages BID businesses to visit the American Express Shop Small Resource Hub Shop for resources and marketing tools to help Grove businesses connect with customers and grow sustainably.
